Well, I've been hit with the sickness, so here is my isolation/ quarantine book stack. I'll report back when I feel better and I've read through all of these.

I'm taking a sick day cause I have this crazy infected stye on my eye ( ), but anyway I just started reading Dear Justyce and got me in the feels when Quan's favorite librarian is gone. (😢 Maybe we do make an impact on kiddos, just maybe!) This is a good one y'all! I finished Dear Martin in like 3 days (which is saying something with having 3 kids and a full time job), and I owe you a video for that one soon. So, are y'all reading anything worth sharing?? Let me know

Clockwise from top left, I chose to represent the book with: a university, a mountain, a test, a junkyard, and essential oils.

Let Them Judge Books by the Cover!, a project from Ms. Harris 01/11/2021

The library's FIRST donor's choose project has received almost half of the goal amount already! Thanks to our early donors! I can't wait to reorganize the shelves so the library looks more like a bookstore with all of the pretty covers facing out. Also, double donations up to $50 by adding the promo code LIFTOFF at checkout for the next 5 days. If just a few people donate using the promo code, we will have this goal met in no time!

Let them judge books by the cover!, a project from Ms. Harris 01/07/2021

Ok, so we all know we aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but everyone does it anyway! That is why bookstores face-out their books on their shelves and in displays. Research shows that facing books out in display and using the visual merchandizing techniques of bookstores can increase library circulation. Circulating more books to students means more students are reading, and more reading is only a good thing!!! Please support this Donor's Choose project to purchase enough wire display stands to transform our library from drab to fabulous! Add the promo code LIFTOFF at checkout and your donations will be doubled up to $50 for the next 7 days!

This is my digital for Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. I found it harder to make a physical book bento due to the specifics of the history and culture in the book. I think this digital version works pretty well. I used Canva.

Better late than never, for Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. Read this if you like narrative nonfiction or learning about Native Americans.
