Come celebrate our talented student artists at Students Select: A Juried Art Exhibition, where the creativity is bold, the talent is real, and the artwork might just make you say, “Wait… a high school student made THAT?!” 😲👏
Tomorrow Night: Thursday, March 12. 6:00–8:00 PM at the University Galleries on the campus of NC A&T State University!
Expect incredible artwork, proud artists, supportive friends and family, and probably a lot of people pointing at pieces saying, “That one’s my favorite.”
Come out, bring a friend, support young artists, and enjoy a night of creativity and inspiration. Who knows—you might even discover your new favorite artist before they become famous.

Today, students from Weaver Academy had the opportunity to participate in a meaningful civic experience by visiting the local polling site. Eligible students had a especially memorable day as they cast their votes for the very first time.
These experiences help connect classroom learning to real-life participation!
Great Job, Weaver Students!!

Good afternoon, GCS families. Unfortunately, today’s temperatures have not provided sufficient time for the district or local Departments of Transportation to adequately clear ice from roadways for bus travel or from campuses across many parts of the county.
Therefore, GCS will continue remote learning for students tomorrow, Friday, January 30. All afterschool activities are canceled. Meals will be available to pick up from noon to 2 p.m. at Dudley High and High Point Central High. Please access Dudley from Willow Drive and access High Point Central from Chestnut Street. Additionally, we are monitoring the potential for more winter weather forecasted for the Piedmont-Triad beginning tomorrow.
