A triple Aries, I have always been fearless. One year ago today in the midst of oceanic Pisces season, I asked for a divorce and my partner of 11 years moved out. We had deeply engrained patterns that despite our best efforts and a trial separation simply would not change. This decision took great courage and also great heartache.
My best friend declared we had to do something big for my birthday, just weeks away. So to Mexico we went! My nervous system was in such disarray that the shear sight and immensity of the ocean brought me to tears, I would try to step inside the water and nearly have a panic attack. I did not recognize myself, felt lost, vulnerable, and all alone.
Despite my dominant firey nature, my Venus lies in Pisces. It is my sentimental, soft spot that prevents me from being a full on Aries as***le. Over the last year, I have been quiet unsure of how to interface with the world—my identity was so bound to being a wife and maintaining the image of the beautiful family that I kept the turbulence and darkness tucked away.
But here I stand a year later working through the story and parsing out the layers, recognizing the fearlessness healing really takes. Befriending herbs, continuing my daily sadhana, studying astrology, going to therapy, deepening my friendships, journaling with and resting whenever I can. My nervous system is beginning to stabilize and I’m recognizing myself again, jumping into wild water, and opening my heart to another.
