reer. In 2002, I opened and served as founding director of the JCC Early Learning Center in Acton, establishing a school of four classrooms that still thrives today under the synagogue’ management. After nine years in Acton, I became the Director of the Early Learning Center at the JCC of Greater Boston in Newton, growing the school from 10 to 15 classrooms. To be an excellent school is to practice recent research in the field, while deepening practice our values. What I live by as an educator is making an impact in the journeys of families with young children. My mission is to build relationships, experiences, and intentional environments with fellow educators. Together, we support young children and families by acting as guides and mentors, asking questions about values, intents, and practices. Hand-in-hand with my values, I have been inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach education which values the child as strong capable, rich with wonder and knowledge. Over the last 16 years, I have visited, learned, and explored how to bring this approach to Early childhood programs. In 2016, I completed my Master’s Degree in Jewish Education, with thesis research on early childhood explorations of the Jewish holidays informed by the Reggio approach. After 19 years working at the JCC, I started an independent practice as an Early Childhood Education consultant, My mission is to bring passion, values, knowledge and experience to families with young children throughout Greater Boston and North America. In the words of Jean Piaget, pioneering psychologist and scholar of early childhood development: “The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create people who are capable of doing new things.” I look forward to partnering with educators who share my vision--together, we can make an impact
