Mr. Ehle’s class has been working on identifying characters, setting, and character traits through Maybe Something Beautiful. To show their understanding, students drew their external traits and used watercolors to represent their internal character traits, connecting their artwork to Mira’s story!

Mrs. Pearson’s students became artists while exploring inside and outside personality traits through the story Make Something Beautiful.

Students painted their outside traits and wrote about their inside traits, making connections between how characters look on the outside and who they are on the inside.

Our students became artists while exploring inside and outside personality traits through the story Make Something Beautiful.
Students painted their outside traits and wrote about their inside traits, making connections between how characters look on the outside and who they are on the inside.

We love watching our students bring stories to life in such meaningful ways!

🎨 Vocabulary Learning in Action!
Mrs. Novinger’s students used a Graffiti Wall strategy to deepen their understanding of vocabulary! 🖍️📚

Working with partners, students explored new words by coming up with synonyms and creating sentences using the vocabulary. This hands-on strategy gave students an opportunity to talk, collaborate, and use their new words in meaningful ways.

We love seeing vocabulary come to life through student collaboration and conversation! 💬✨

On Tuesday, our 4th graders took a virtual field trip to the Indiana State Fair to explore the science and history behind some of our favorite fair foods!

Students learned about the science of batter, how cooking oil works, and the fascinating history of King’s Concessions at the Indiana State Fair. From science to history, they discovered that there’s a lot more to those delicious deep-fried treats than meets the eye!

What a fun and tasty way to learn!

We had Picture Day this week, and you know what that means... Mr. Turner and Mr. B took it as the perfect opportunity to dress up and welcome our car riders in style!
Nothing says Picture Day like starting the morning with a few smiles, some fancy outfits, and a little extra MCE fun. We hope all of our students brought their best smiles!

Place value + teamwork = a winning combination! 💙
Mrs. Worrel's students had a blast practicing their place value skills through place value board games! They worked together, explained their thinking, encouraged their teammates, and learned that sometimes the best way to learn is to have a little fun along the way. 🧠✨
We’re building math skills and teamwork skills one roll of the dice at a time! 🎲💪
