🍎🍏 APPLE-solutely Amazing Day in 1st Grade! 🍏🍎

Our first graders had a fun-filled Apple Day! ❤️ We enjoyed homemade applesauce, tasted different apples, apple butter, c***r, and apple suckers! 😋 We also got creative with apple crafts and became little scientists with sink-or-float experiments and APPLE VOLCANOES! 🌋🍎
A HUGE thank you to our wonderful families for helping make this day so special! ❤️🍏
Lots of learning, laughter, and apple fun! 🍎🍂

🍎 Learning is always sweeter when we're having fun! 🍏

Picture overload from ALL the 1st grade classes!

Farm Store fun in Mrs. Swardson’s classroom! 🍎🍂🚜
Students enjoyed a hands-on shopping experience with MVHS cadet teacher, Miss Erika! They practiced counting dollars, making purchases, and using oral communication skills to ask for and buy farm-fresh items.
What a fun way to bring math, language development, and real-world learning together! 🛒🌽🎃

Today during our BUCS BASH, we drew our Golden Ticket winners from a treasure chest filled with every ticket earned during Quarter 1. There were over 1,500 Golden Tickets in the chest!
Congratulations to our winners and to all of our students who earned tickets this quarter. Keep up the great work, BUCS!

October Birthday Books are here at MCE!
We are excited to celebrate our October birthdays with a special birthday book! We also caught up with a few of our September birthday students who weren’t available when we called their names last month.
If a student is absent or unavailable when we hand out birthday books, no worries! We will make sure they get their book.
Happy birthday to all of our MCE students celebrating this month! We hope you enjoy picking out a great book!

🥚🪂 EGG DROP DAY! 🪂🥚

Today was one of our favorite 4th grade traditions — the Egg Drop Challenge! 🎉
Our students put their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to the test as they designed containers to protect their eggs from the BIG DROP! There were cheers, laughs, some impressive designs… and, of course, a few egg-citing splats! 😂🍳

We loved seeing the creativity and excitement our 4th graders brought to this challenge. A HUGE thank you to our families for helping students plan, build, and prepare their creations at home! ❤️ A special shout out to our favorite fire crew - the Buck Creek Township Fire Department who enjoys the day just as much as we do! We didn't get that final group photo because DUTY called and a they were needed!

Check out some of the fun from today! 📸🥚
