Titled “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now: The Pleasures and Pitfalls of Sexuality as We Age,” the event will explore how sexuality can change throughout the aging process and how people can continue to experience intimacy, pleasure and sexual wellness as they grow older.
“As we age, we often know ourselves and our bodies better,” Fleishman says. “Yet societal taboos around sexuality, particularly the sexuality of older adults, can make these conversations difficult or uncomfortable.”
Fleishman will draw on current research and her experience as a sexuality professional to discuss common challenges, offer practical information and resources and create space for participants to ask questions and engage in confidential discussion. The session will include tips and resources specifically for older adults.
