Nodaway Valley FFA Welcome to the Nodaway Valley FFA page!!

The Nodaway Valley FFA is an organization within the Nodaway Valley School District that offers students the opportunity to learn more about Agriculture. We sell fruit each year as a fundraiser, send members to various contests and conventions, and offer the opportunity to work as a stage attendant or grandstand usher at the state fair. We also sponser the Ag olympics at the Adair County Fair, cle

Our members went out with a bang at the Iowa State Fair.

Chloe Rardin received a blue with her market pig.

Sofie Rardin placed 9th in her class with her market pig.

Kenzie Lilly received 3 blues with her 3 market pigs.

Emily Butler exhibited photography, she won the Plants category with her one photo. The other received one blue and two reds.

Now time to focus on the school year!

Kenzie placed 11th overall in the swine carcass class and received a blue in the carcass value class.

Yesterday kicked off the Iowa State Fair for our members.

Swine exhibitors had showmanship in the morning. Kenzie received a blue ribbon and Sofie placed in the top 10.

Congratulations to both the members.

Today we will see our members at the breeding beef show and the carcass show for swine. Wish everyone the best of luck staying dry.

Red Barn Veterinary Clinic is offering a “Health Paper Day” this year to accommodate the number of exhibitors needing their vet inspection prior to the state fair. This date will catch all species health paper window EXCEPT 4H pigs. These inspections must be done after August 9th.

Location: The plan is to use the south side of the fairgrounds by the barns.

They are requesting that you call to make an appointment/ sign up that day so that they can plan accordingly!
