Class is officially dismissed! 🔔
As we all head out the door for summer vacation, we want to celebrate the incredible legacy walking these halls. These numbers represent more than just years on a calendar—they represent thousands of lives changed. Our amazing Pastor, staff, and principal are holding up the numbers that matter most—the years they’ve dedicated to shaping minds, inspiring hearts, and building the future.
Scroll through to see the decades of wisdom, patience, and love in this building. To our staff: thank you for your endless dedication. Enjoy a well-deserved summer break! ☀️📚

The last Accelerated Reader Class Reading Goal Trophy of the school year went to TWO classes in a tie! Both our 3rd AND 4th grade classes reached 100% student participation in reaching or exceeding their reading goal. This is the third month in a row that our 4th graders had reached 100%! Congrats to these students for their dedication to reading!

Our 5th graders were able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine during independent reading in literacy class this week. We are blessed to have a beautiful campus to enjoy!

So many bubbles! First grade students performed a science experiment, creating 2 different bubble solutions. After making the 2 concoctions, they took them outside, along with a store bought bubble solution. During the mixing process, students learned different science guidelines such as cross contamination of ingredients and proper measurements. Outside, students tested which solution worked the best, and it was oh so fun!

Before graduation, our 8th grade students took one more class trip together. Guess where they chose to go? It might look familiar- Camp Edwards! This is a favorite spot among our students. You might remember that our 6th and 7th grade students spend 2 nights and 3 days at Camp Edwards every other year, so that each student has the opportunity to attend this trip once. When asked where the 8th graders would like to take their class trip, they decided to go back to Camp Edwards for a one-day visit. They enjoyed brushing up on archery, along with team building activities and other games. When we ask our graduates what their favorite SJE memory is, many say the Camp Edwards trip, so it is no surprise that many students wanted to return. We were happy to see them enjoy these experiences together one more time.

It was a beautiful day for story time on the playground! After the 10:30 mass on Sunday, all families were welcome to attend a story time event, where our principal and 2 of our support staff teachers read stories to the children. All children in attendance were able to choose a couple of new books to take home to kick off their summer reading. Kids also received bubbles and were able to enjoy the playground afterward. It was nice to see some of our current students and see a few new faces, too! Don't forget, our popsicles on the playground event is coming up on July 14th at 10:00. We hope you can join us!

We held our traditional K4 and K5 Summer Send Off Ceremony last week. Families came to listen to the students sing songs and to see the presentation of the SJE Citizenship Awards. Families then visited with other families, enjoyed a treat, and of course, said good bye to their teachers and took photos with them. It has been a joy watching our youngest students grow and learn over the course of this school year. Enjoy summer break K4 and K5!
