Spread the word! 🗣️ It is never too late for a person with dyslexia to receive the right intervention. However, we do know that the earlier we can intervene, the better the chance we can prevent long term academic failure and the social-emotional toll dyslexia has on individuals.

We know the skill set and tools a teacher needs to change brain pathways. Because all it takes is one teacher to change the entire life of a child!

This statement by Dr. Kay Wijekumar, at her Reading League conference session yesterday, stuck with us. Every child deserves the opportunity to become a skilled reader and writer.

The more we understand the signs of dyslexia and other reading difficulties, the sooner we can recognize when a child needs help and provide the right instruction.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. It is our goal to bring a deeper understanding of the difficulties our students face, but also so we can make sure they are supported in the best ways.
