This is “Our Galaxy,” an original composition by my 11-year-old student, Mary Grace. I think she did an amazing job capturing the joy and wonder we all feel when we look up at the night sky and remember just how small we are.✨🪐

Rowan (9) knows that friendship isn’t always simple! When friends at school started having repeated disagreements, Rowan decided to channel those complex emotions into a creative project called “Girl Drama.”💅Rowan created a collage full of thoughtful reminders about how to handle disagreements with kindness, honesty, and empathy. We then worked together to bring those ideas to life in an original musical soundtrack.
The piece begins with harmonic intervals and chords that represent friends who are emotionally in sync. A sudden burst of dissonant tremolos interrupts the peace, growing to an emotional boiling point before everything comes to a halt—the moment when friends stop talking to one another. From there, the music slowly rebuilds as understanding, forgiveness, and communication help restore the friendship until everyone is back in harmony.
I love projects like this because they give students a chance to process real-life experiences through creativity. Rowan took a difficult topic and transformed it into something thoughtful, honest, and hopeful. Go and check it out her performance on our YouTube channel!💙

Don't let the title fool you—these monsters are less interested in scaring people and are more into playing music, telling jokes, and welcoming other monsters to the party! 🎵👹 This original story, "Music and Monsters" (Books I - II), was dreamed up by my 6-year-old student Reid, complete with his own artwork and soundtrack.

IN A WORLD where one very small bunny will become ONE GIANT LEGEND...! 🐰 Juniper, 8 and I invite you to experience her latest multimedia creation, "Lulu the Bunny." It's her own original story which she turned into artwork, then into music, and I got to help bring it to life.
