Our program values play, curiosity, and letting children explore. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, communicates well, and is ready to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities include supporting classroom routines, providing attentive care and supervision, and helping keep our classrooms clean and welcoming.

Explore More Early Learning Center will be closing early at 3:00 PM tomorrow, Thursday, September 17, due to unforeseen circumstances.

We sincerely apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause our families.

Maintaining appropriate ratios and ensuring the safety of every child in our care will always be my top priority. This decision was not made easily, and I explored every available option before determining that an early closure was necessary.

We’re hiring!

Explore More Early Learning Center in Greene is looking for a part time float to join our team!

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with young children. This position will work alongside our Lead Toddler Teacher in a fun, busy, play-based classroom.

Previous childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Applicants must be able to meet all State of Maine childcare licensing requirements, including required background checks and trainings.

I’ve been waiting a LONG time to finally be able to say this…

Explore More has EXPANDED!

What started in my home as Explore More Daycare has officially grown into Explore More Early Learning Center, now located at 820 Sawyer Road in Greene.

When I started my daycare, I knew I loved this work, but I don’t think I could have imagined where it would eventually take me. Over time, I started dreaming about having a bigger space, serving more families, building a team, and growing Explore More beyond the walls of my home.

And now I actually get to do it.

The best part is that I’m not starting from scratch.

I’m stepping into a center that already has an incredible foundation. Wonderful children and families, dedicated staff, established routines and traditions, and an environment that already aligns so closely with what I believe early childhood should look like.

My goal isn’t to walk in and change everything just because there’s a new name and a new owner. It’s actually the opposite.

I want to learn what makes this center special, keep the things that are already working, and continue building on the amazing foundation that has already been created here.

There will be new ideas along the way, and I’m sure Explore More will continue to grow and evolve, but the heart of the program isn’t going anywhere. Children will still have opportunities to play, explore, get outside, get messy, build relationships, take appropriate risks, and simply be kids.

This journey has not been easy. There have been more moving pieces, paperwork, waiting, setbacks, stress, problem solving, and longer days than I ever could have anticipated. There were plenty of moments when it felt like as soon as one thing was figured out, something else popped up that needed my attention.

So I also need to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this entire process.

To everyone who listened to me vent, celebrated the wins with me, helped me work through the setbacks, answered my million questions, offered advice, stepped in when I needed help, encouraged me when I was overwhelmed, or simply reminded me that I could do this, THANK YOU!

And especially to the people closest to me who have dealt with the late nights, stress, constant phone calls, paperwork, and me being mentally consumed by this for months, thank you for sticking beside me through all of it.

There is absolutely no way I got here completely on my own.

After everything it took to get to this point, being able to finally say that Explore More Early Learning Center is officially open feels a little surreal.

But we made it.

I’m incredibly excited for this next chapter, not only for Explore More, but for the staff, children, and families who already call this place theirs and the new families we’ll get to welcome in the future.

Here’s to building on something great.

Apparently my work phone has been on an accidental vacation since JUNE!

I just discovered that the eSIM on my work phone somehow got turned off, which means I haven’t been receiving calls or texts to that number this entire time.

So, if you’ve tried to reach me at my work number and thought I was completely ignoring you… I PROMISE I wasn’t! I genuinely had no idea anything was wrong because the phone itself was still working, just apparently not as a phone.

Everything is back up and running now! I’m so sorry to anyone who has tried reaching out over the last couple months and never heard back from me. Please feel free to resend any messages I may have missed!

Good evening!
I'm spending the next few days in Chicago attending the NAFCC Annual Conference, where I'll be learning, networking, and bringing back new ideas to continue strengthening the high-quality care and education we provide at Explore More Daycare.
During this time, I will have limited availability. All calls, emails, messages, and other correspondence will be responded to after I return home on Saturday, July 18th.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while I invest in continuing education to better serve the children and families in our community. I look forward to sharing what I learn!

Meet our new assistant, Caitlin!

We are thrilled to have her on board and become apart of our daycare family. Caitlin loves children and pouring her heart into providing a safe, fun, and educational environment where they can learn and explore.

I am extremely grateful that as Explore More continues to grow, I have found someone who has the same mindset as me when it comes to providing our children in our care with the best quality of care, meaningful learning experiences and a safe environment to flourish. Not only does she understand my vision but she has the drive and passion to go along with it when it comes to caring and teaching young children. With Caitlin joining our team we will be able to offer an even more wonderful experience for our little ones and their families.

She can't wait to meet all of your little ones starting June 29th! Please help me welcome Caitlin to the Explore More Family!
