Welcome to another edition of World Ready Wednesday featuring Martin Luther alumnus Zack Zuberbier, Class of 2016!

Zack currently serves as Pastor at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Antioch, Illinois.

Zack’s favorite memory at Martin Luther was when he qualified for the State Golf Tournament.

We asked Zack to share some advice he would give to current students he said “Take Jesus seriously, even in high school! Compared to anything you'll do or find outside those high school walls, He's the only One who stands when all else can fall. He's been with you, is with you now, and wants to be with you forever!"

Zack, we are so excited to see all that you have accomplished since graduating from Martin Luther in 2016. Your Martin Luther family is incredibly proud of you and the impact you are making through your ministry. Thank you for being a wonderful example of what it means to be World Ready!

We are excited to welcome Cortney Aliesa to the Martin Luther family as our new Academic Resource Teacher!

A graduate of Greendale High School and UW-Whitewater, where she played collegiate basketball, Mrs. Aliesa brings a wealth of experience from around the world. She has worked in international schools in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Hanoi (Vietnam), and Kuwait, and has coached varsity girls basketball as well as JV girls and boys volleyball.

Mrs. Aliesa is passionate about supporting students and helping them grow academically, spiritually, and personally. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships, encouraging confidence and independence, and making a positive impact in the lives of her students.

Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, a reminder of the patience, kindness, and love that guide her work with others.

When she's not in the classroom, Mrs. Aliesa enjoys hiking, playing and watching sports, scuba diving, and traveling.

Please join us in giving Mrs. Aliesa a warm Spartan welcome! We are blessed to have her as part of our school community and look forward to the many ways she will support and inspire our students.

Welcome, Spartans!

New and transfer students spent the day at Spartan Seminar learning everything they need for a successful start at Martin Luther. From academic expectations and spiritual life to service credits, technology accounts, and team-building activities, students gained valuable information while making new connections.

Students also had the opportunity to walk through their schedules and become more familiar with campus life before the school year begins. Spartan Seminar gave these incoming students a great introduction to life at Martin Luther, and we're excited to see all they accomplish as members of the Spartan family! 💚💛

Last evening, Martin Luther was excited to welcome more than 200 new students and their families for our New Student Orientation Night!

Students and parents had the opportunity to receive schedules, meet teachers, and learn more about what to expect for the upcoming school year. Families also participated in an informational session covering important topics such as attendance, grades, and technology access to help ensure a successful start to the year.

Thank you to all who attended. We are looking forward to an incredible year together!

We are excited to welcome David Davies as our new Visual Arts Teacher!

Mr. Davies brings 15 years of teaching experience and holds an MFA from Hunter College in New York City. He will be teaching Introduction to Art, Ceramics I & II, and Sculpture.

Originally from Milwaukee, Mr. Davies returns home after spending much of the last 30 years on the East Coast, most recently teaching at East Hartford High School in Connecticut. He and his fiancée, whom he will marry this fall, are active members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Allis, where they live and worship.

As both an educator and practicing artist, Mr. Davies currently has work on display at the 100PercentMKE Gallery in Milwaukee's Third Ward. He draws inspiration from Bible verses that connect faith and artistry, including Jeremiah 18:6 and Isaiah 64:8, which remind us that we are clay in the hands of our Creator.

Mr. Davies is excited to begin this new chapter and become part of the Martin Luther family. Please join us in giving him a warm Spartan welcome!
