Another great week in South Putnam High School JAG. We have worked on lessons about various types of relationships and the healthy/unhealthy characteristics. Our Seniors worked on their FAFSA applications while Juniors brushed up on financial literacy. We took a deep dive into payroll taxes and pay stubs. And today Jason Burcham of the Indianapolis-IBEW came in and spoke to us about the trades and specifically the opportunities afforded by the electrical industry. Thank you Mr. Burcham!

A special Thanks to Staff Sergeant White and Sergeant Gallo of the United States Marine Corp for sharing some great lessons about leadership as well as opportunities available with the Marine Corp. We even had some fun when some students wanted to see if they could arm wrestle a Marine. The Marines won the arm wrestling but the South Putnam JAG students won the day because of the knowledge they gained.

A recent visit from Sergeant Gardner of the Army National Guard gave our South Putnam JAG Students an opportunity to learn more about the Army and the many potential benefits associated with a stint or career in the service.
