🚗 BIG NEWS FOR INDIANA STUDENT DRIVERS! 🎉
Earlier this week, HB1200 passed through the Indiana State Legislature, bringing an exciting potential change for teens working toward their driver’s license!
If signed by the governor, this new law will take effect July 1, 2026, allowing students who complete all driver education requirements to obtain their driver’s license on their 16th birthday — no more waiting an extra 90 days! 🙌
That means driver education could soon become even more valuable for teens eager to hit the road safely and sooner.
✔️ Complete driver education
✔️ Meet all licensing requirements
✔️ Get your license at 16!
Students who do not complete driver education would still need to wait until 16 years and 270 days to obtain their license.
We’ll be watching closely as the bill heads to the governor’s desk and will keep everyone updated once it is officially signed into law.
📣 If your teen is planning to drive, now is the perfect time to enroll in driver education and be ready!
