18 Months Later

There was no scandal.

There were no recruiting violations.
I wasn't fired.
I wasn't pushed out.

In fact, I was looking forward to the season ahead. We had a strong recruiting class coming in, and a group of returning players I was genuinely excited to work with again.

But sometimes, the hardest decisions aren't made because something is wrong.

They're made because you believe something could be better.

I had an opportunity to provide honest, comprehensive athletic development to the community I grew up around—and to help create a better future for soccer players across South Central Pennsylvania and Western Maryland.

That was an opportunity I couldn't ignore.

So I formed Teqniq Academy.

I walked away from a program I loved, a program I had poured years into building, and stepped into the completely unknown.

No club backing us.
No pre-existing athletes.
No idea if it would work.

Just a belief that athletes in this area deserved access to a different kind of development.

And 18 months later, I can confidently say:

It was worth it.

Nearly 300 different soccer players have walked through our doors over the past 18 months.

Nearly 300 athletes who showed up hungry to learn, improve, and become better versions of themselves.

Some committed to the standard and have made tremendous progress.

Some didn't stay long.

But I hope that even those athletes left with something...better tools, better knowledge, and a better understanding of what it takes to develop.

Because that's what Teqniq is ultimately about.

Development.

Not shortcuts.
Not promises.

Just doing the work, trusting the process, and giving athletes the tools to reach their potential.

It's hard to believe it's already been 18 months since we officially opened our doors.

To every athlete who has trained with us, every parent who trusted us, every coach who has supported us, and everyone who has helped us along the way—

Thank you.

The future is even brighter!

True athletic development doesn't have a cheat code. But Teqniq Academy is the closest you’ll get.
