Two meetings left guys and girls! Join us in Julian 315 on:
Monday, Nov. 24th from 11:30-12:30 for elections for board members, a discussion on next semester, and pizza! Bring all of your ideas!

Wednesday, Dec. 3rd from 11:30- 12:30 for a discussion with Professor Melanie Finney from the Department of Communication and Theater. She will be exploring and discussing her work in Ireland and how it is an interdisciplinary construct of anthropology, sociology, conflict studies, and communication. (It should be awesome :) )

As well as thanks to Tony Nelson and Antonio Gutierrez for your moving discussions and finally thanks to the Immigrant Youth Justice League and MSN for all you do and letting you both get away long enough to come speak with us!

Today is the day!!

I just wanted to remind everyone, and inform anybody that doesn't know already that today (Thursday October 30th) the Anthropology and Sociology Club will be hosting Antonio Gutierrez, a member of the Immigrant Youth Justice League, and Tony Nelson with the Mexico Solidarity Network campus. They are here today to discuss with the campus immigration, how to approach issues that arise with immigration with dignity, and how it is up to people like us to make these changes.

There are going to be 2 great opportunities to meet, discuss, and interact with these gentlemen that I wanted to know about, so you could take advantage of them.

1. In Julian 315 from 11:30-12:30, the club is going to have a meeting, and we will get to talk to and discuss the above topics in a more laid back, unique environment. Pizza and drinks will be provided by the club, so come enjoy some free food, and meet some cool people

2. In Watson Forum from 7-9(ish) pm the main event will take place. This will be Mr. Gutierrez's discussion entitled "Undocumented, Unafraid, and Unapologetic: Fighting for Immigrant Rights with Dignity in Chicago and Beyond". You will have a chance to hear from him, ask questions, and check out some of the awesome opportunities and things that the MSN and IYJL are a part of, and you could be too!
