We are so excited to celebrate Elijah Frank (GHS) as he starts his internship with the Greencastle Fire Department this year. After earning his Firefighter I certification last year through our Fire and Rescue program, Elijah is back at it and working toward his Firefighter II and Strategies and Tactics certifications.
Thank you, GFD, for your incredible, ongoing partnership over the last three years and for providing such invaluable, real-world experience for our students. We’re all cheering you on this year, Elijah! 🚒💪
The Greencastle Fire Department is pleased to welcome Area 30 Career Center intern Elijah Frank.
This marks the third year that GFD has partnered with Area 30 to provide students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the fire department. Throughout the year, interns participate in training, respond to emergency calls, and assist with the daily operations of the firehouse.
Last year, through the Area 30 Fire and Rescue program, Elijah earned his Firefighter I certification. This year, he will continue his professional development at GFD as he works toward his Firefighter II and Strategies and Tactics certifications.
Programs like this provide students with valuable experience while helping develop the next generation of firefighters and emergency responders.
We’re proud to continue our partnership with Area 30 and look forward to supporting Elijah as he continues to learn, grow, and take the next steps toward a career in the fire service.
