We are happy to introduce our second member of the DePauw University Page and Narda Cotton Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026: Elizabeth “Liz” (Hamilton) Macy!

Elizabeth was a member of the field hockey team at DePauw and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Communications and a minor in computer science.

During her time with the field hockey team from 1996-1999, the team had a 70% win percentage, attended the NCAA tournament in 1999 (where they advanced to the second round), and won the KIT Conference in 1996, 1997, and 1999. As a goalkeeper, Elizabeth still holds the single-season save record with 234 saves and the record for career saves, totaling over 500.

After her time at DePauw, Elizabeth lived and worked abroad in Budapest, Hungary, and Austria before returning to the US in 2003 to work in Washington, DC for Leading Authorities, Inc. She now lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with her husband Jon Macy and two daughters.

Congratulations Elizabeth! We look forward to seeing you on September 19th for your induction!

We are happy to introduce our first member of the DePauw University Page and Narda Cotton Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026: Jim Sandgren!

While attending DePauw, Jim was a member of both the Men’s Basketball team and the Baseball team. He graduated from DePauw in 1988 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Mathematics.

As a key part of the Basketball team from 1984-88, Jim and the Tigers attended 6 NCAA regional games, had an overall win percentage of 79% (including a 7-1 record against the Wabash Little Giants), and only lost a single home game in four seasons. In his final season, Jim averaged 12.6 points a game and ended his collegiate career with over 600 points.

After leaving DePauw, Jim built a lengthy and successful career at Old National Bank, where he worked for 34 years. Spending time in many roles, such as President and COO, before retiring as the CEO of Commercial Banking. Jim now lives in Newburgh, IN, with his wife Becky, where they raised their two sons.

Congratulations Jim! We look forward to seeing you on September 19th for your induction!
