It is our honor to recognize Tatum Roach, 4th grade teacher at Springhill Elementary, as a recipient of our October Whatever It Takes Award. Mrs. Roach is the kind of educator who leads by action. She consistently demonstrates a willingness to step up, take on challenges, and do whatever is needed to help her students and colleagues succeed.
This year, Mrs. Roach made a significant transition from first grade to fourth grade, stepping into a new grade level with grit, determination, and a fabulous attitude. Rather than allowing the challenges of change to slow her down, she embraced the opportunity to grow. She has approached this new role with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to doing what is best for her students.
Mrs. Roach is a lifelong learner who is always seeking new strategies, ideas, and ways to improve her practice. She doesn’t simply talk about growth—she actively pursues it and models that mindset for those around her.
Beyond her classroom, Mrs. Roach is making an impact as a member of Springhill’s Guiding Coalition and as a leader within her fourth-grade team. She leads through collaboration, encouragement, and example, helping those around her become better educators while keeping students at the center of every decision.
Mrs. Roach embodies what it means to do whatever it takes. Her grit, positive attitude, leadership, and dedication are making a meaningful difference at Springhill. We are incredibly grateful for the energy and heart she brings to our school each day, and we are proud to recognize her for the outstanding educator and leader she is. Congratulations Mrs. Roach!
