🌟 Building Social Skills in the Classroom 🌟

At CCA, we know that social skills are just as important as ABCs and 123s! Helping children learn how to interact, share, and express themselves sets them up for lifelong success. 💬💛

Here are a few tips and teacher scripts you can use this week:

✅ Model the skill – Show students what kindness, sharing, and teamwork look like.
🗣 Use simple scripts – Try:

“I see you want that toy. Let’s ask, ‘Can I have a turn when you’re done?’”

“It looks like you’re feeling frustrated. You can say, ‘I need help, please.’”

“You can tell your friend, ‘Let’s play together.’”
🤝 Practice often – Use role-play and group activities to give students safe chances to practice.
👏 Celebrate efforts – Praise when you see students using their social skills: “Great job asking with kind words!”

Let’s be intentional this week about giving our kiddos the tools they need to grow into kind, confident friends! 🌱✨

Create your own magical DIY Moon Rocks with just a few simple ingredients! Perfect for playtime or as a unique decoration. 🌕✨🌟

Ingredients:
- 4 cups baking soda
- 1/4 cup water
- Gold glitter
- Silver glitter
- Black food coloring

Directions:
1. Grab a large plastic bin and mix the baking soda with the water until it forms a thick paste.
2. Sprinkle in the gold and silver glitter, stirring it all together until you have a lovely sparkly mixture.
3. Add a few drops of black food coloring and mix thoroughly to get that cosmic look.
4. Now comes the fun part! Mold the mixture into rock shapes and create craters if desired.
5. Let your moon rocks dry overnight, and they’ll be ready to showcase or play with!
