Trigger post... sorry, not sorry.
There are very few people that can eat and drink whatever they want and not worry about weight gain. However, that's not the case for the majority of us.
If the vet told you your dog/cat is over weight, what would you do? Feed it the same and take it walking? Feed it the same and inject it with metabolism altering drugs? Feed it the same and have the excess skin cut off? I didn't think so.
Your health (mental and physical) and your weight gain/loss depends on the food you eat, how often you eat, and how much you eat. Pills, surgery, and injections sound so much easier, right?! What about the side effects, the risks, and the long-term unknown?!
Let's have a wellness consult to figure out why you're having cravings or why you can't lose weight. Let's find the root cause and a healthy, sustainable solution to fix it.

It seems like November is all about giving thanks. Seems appropriate, but I like being thankful year round. Here's something to think about...
No-November. Saying no to something that's not good for you. Maybe that no is a second helping, a large portion, that extra drink, more dipping sauce, a drive-thru, dessert, etc. You get the point.
For some, this discipline may be hourly. For others, you might face this nightly. Whatever it looks like for you, try your best. Stand firm and create those healthy boundaries and habits. When Thanksgiving comes, you will be able to control your portion sizes and cravings.

I have started decorating for Halloween. Dear, sweet clients... if you're terrified of spiders, snakes, and/or skulls, I apologize. Call me when you arrive and I'll walk you in blindly.

I was filling out my daily affirmation journal and I got slapped in the face with some reality. I feel led to share so you all can be reminded that setbacks occur.
My last 5 weeks have been filled with a knee injury, elbow injury, neck injury, two little weekend getaways, and a HORRIBLE case of allergies and laryngitis. All of those equal an extra 5 pounds of fat and a lazy ass.
I didn't watch my diet like I should have when I was nursing those injuries. I didn't watch my diet while away on the trips. I pretty much set myself back a couple of months. My 10 weeks of training, prior to all of this, went out the door.
I decided today will be the beginning of a new 10 week program. I will not compare where I was to where I am now. I will focus on moving forward and reaching my goals.
My journal asked for one word that will lead my day. EXAMPLE immediately popped in my head. I am and will be an example to my family, my friends, and my clients. I will accept setbacks with grace and not allow them to define me. Allow your setback to be a setup for something amazing. I hope you're inspired to be an example today and every day.

Who loves a good mojito? I wish I did. The taste is amazing, but I HATE to drink anything with stuff floating around in it. I’m weird. I can’t even drink orange juice with pulp. Anyways... I’m here to talk about the goodness of mint. Love it or hate it?
Everyone should love mint. It’s so useful and beneficial. Mint can be used to combat seasonal allergies due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It can soothe indigestion, gas, and even constipation. And of course, it can temporarily knock out some halitosis. Mint can also help cut down on the itch factor of any insect bite or sting. Next time you have some muscle tension, rub some peppermint essential oil on it. HOWEVER, not all oils are created equally and should be used with caution. That’s a different post. If you want to know how to use them, message me. Mint contains menthol. That may help loosen phlegm and make it easier to come out. If you tend to overeat or snack, try sipping on some peppermint tea or peppermint water throughout the day. It could possibly help reduce those issues.
So, cheers to mint. If you need help or suggestions on usage, message me.

I LOVE cucumbers!! I’ll eat them by themselves, with hummus, with bean dip, on a salad, on crackers, etc. What’s your favorite way?
Cucumbers are almost all water. (less water you have to drink!) They are full of fiber, potassium, magnesium, folate, beta carotene, and vitamins B, C, and K. They can help keep you hydrated. If you have digestive issues, eat a cucumber. It has enzymes in it that can help breakdown proteins. They contain cucurbitacins. That little gem can supposedly help stop cancer cells from reproducing, help prevent atherosclerosis, and help balance insulin. Cucumbers help fight inflammation…. leading cause of dis-eases. So, who is going to start eating more?
