We chose the name Evergreen to honor redwood trees. Redwood trees don't grow alone, they thrive together. Their roots are deeply interconnected, supporting one another and creating a forest that is stronger because of its community.

That's the heart of Evergreen Children's Academy. We believe children (and parents!) flourish when they're surrounded by caring teachers, connected families, and a community that grows together.

Because it truly takes a village and we're proud to be one.

This week's work encourages children to practice counting with confidence and to check their own work along the way!

Children match the correct number of translucent counters to each numeral. The color pattern (1 orange, 2 green, 3 purple, etc.) provides a built-in control of error, allowing children to recognize and correct mistakes independently without relying on an adult.

Welcome to the very first Work of the Week Wednesday!

In Montessori, a "work" is any thoughtfully prepared activity that invites children to explore, practice a skill, and build independence. Every work has a purpose—even if it looks like "just playing."

✨ This week's work: Rainbow Pom Pom Transfer

Children use tweezers to match colorful pom poms to the rainbow. While it's fun and inviting, they're also strengthening their fine motor muscles, developing hand-eye coordination, practicing color recognition, building concentration, and preparing the same muscles they'll use one day for writing.
