Everyone who cares about the care and education of young children, teachers, parents, grandparents, pediatricians, librarians and more, should come out to see the documentary viewing of Make A Circle. Maryland Association for the Education of Young Children is hosting these around the state. Some of us viewed it at the Greenbelt Theater several months ago and I attended the one in Germantown last evening. Next week’s viewing is Wednesday night at Anne Arundel Community College. Free tickets at the QR codes below. Free tickets, free concessions, door prize raffles and a prize for whoever brings the most people with them! It is about the struggle to pay for childcare for families and the struggle for teachers to stay in the field because of low compensation and respect from our community. Please encourage everyone to see this!

It’s here! The National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Week of the Young Child, a celebration for young children and their families. Here is what Greenbelt Children’s Center has planned for this week!

Prince George’s County has an initiative for the public to learn to recognize the signs of autism in their young child and the importance of early intervention. When a child receives a diagnosis of being on the Autism Spectrum, free services become available to help the child to get what they need and deserve so that they can develop to their full potential. This helps a young child to be ready for success in school and in life. Please check out the invitations and share them with friends and family in your community.
