Know a great teacher who's stepped back from full-time teaching but isn't done teaching?

Potentia Academy has part-time positions open for next school year (math, reading, writing, or an elective) — mornings only, small classes, and students who are genuinely a joy to teach. It's the kind of schedule that lets you do meaningful work and still be around in the afternoons.

We serve neurodivergent middle and high schoolers, most on the autism spectrum, and we're looking for teachers who bring real empathy to how our students learn.

Potentia Academy Community Field Day was held this past Saturday. It was organized and hosted by our very own Tristan, who did this for his Eagle Scout Project. Tristan is a Scouting America Life Scout with the Gulfstream Council, Troop 116. Several of our Potentia students and parents showed up to support this fun event. There were fun games, a color run, & food trucks. A special thanks to the City of Greenacres, Florida - Government for their assistance in making this happen. It was wonderful to see our friends from the PBSO - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office there with their SWAT vehicle, K-9’s, and their Fun Mobile. Everyone had a fun day. Well done, Tristan!

We had a fun time at our end-of-year party! Potentia parents: thank you for the privilege we had of teaching your students this past academic year. Thank you also to our awesome teachers whose passion is to help our students reach their full learning potential!

Last weekend, Potentia Academy was honored to once again be a charity recipient at the 19th Rooney's Annual 5K Run/Walk. Thank you to the Rooney's Golf Foundation, Inc., for organizing this wonderful event, and to the PBKC at Palm Beach Kennel Club for hosting it. Many of our students, teachers, and alumni participated and had a great time.

Potentia Academy thanks Ms. Anna Consor, the Chief Information Officer for Holy Rosary Credit Union, for giving our students a highly interactive presentation on financial literacy. Mrs. Consor spoke about the difference between banks and credit unions, checking versus savings accounts, interest, loans, and credit scores. Our students were given a wealth of information. Thank you, Ms. Consor!

Potentia Academy gives a big "thank you" to the firefighters at Greenacres Fire Rescue Station 95 for inviting us to their station for a fantastic tour. As you can see from the pictures, it was very hands-on. The firefighters did an amazing job describing their equipment and what it is like being a firefighter. Thanks to Greenacres Fire Rescue for all you do to keep us safe!

Potentia Academy students had a great morning with the PBSO - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office K-9, SWAT, and Mounted Units, as well as the Boat Detail. Thank you to Captain Michael & Jeannine Ott, Deputy Kummerfeldt & Deputy Cawthon for making such a wonderful visit possible. It was interesting to hear about what each unit does.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Love the Wine (& Bourbon) You're With soirée a huge success. The proceeds fully funded all of Potentia Academy's Achiever Scholarships for students from families with financial need. A special thank you to Matt Lincoln, our master of ceremonies; Marc Linsky, the program chair; and Marc Pintel, our honorary chair and Overcomer awardee.
