🔬 A Great Start to the Year in Science! 🧪
Our first few days back in science have been all about setting up the foundation for a great year!
After going over classroom expectations and routines, each class spent some time participating in team-building challenges focused on communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and working together toward a common goal.
Taking time for this at the beginning of the year is so important. Science isn't always about working independently from a textbook—throughout the year, students will be completing labs, investigations, projects, and other hands-on activities where they will need to communicate clearly, listen to one another, share ideas, solve problems, and sometimes work through a little frustration together!
These first few days also give students a chance to get comfortable with their classmates, build relationships, and learn that our science classroom is a place where it's okay to try something, make a mistake, adjust, and try again. Those are some pretty important skills for scientists, and for life!
We had lots of laughs along the way, and it was a great way to kick off the school year. 🔬🧬🌎⚗️
Now we're ready to dive into some science!
