Our public schools are the heart of our community and we employ very talented and student-oriented teachers, administrators and staff. They are all committed to making our entire District the best that it can be, and look forward to working with both the parents and students who enter our doors. The District comprises an area of 5,250 square miles and is located in Green River, which has a populat

ion of approximately 14,000. The District offers a comprehensive educational program for grades kindergarten through 12th and is both North Central Association and Wyoming State board of Education accredited. The District operates Green River High School (grades 9-12), Expedition Academy Alternative High School (grades 10-12) and Lincoln Middle School (grades 6-8). The District also maintains four elementary schools within the city limits (Harrison, Monroe, Truman and Washington) and three rural schools (Granger, McKinnon and Thoman Ranch). Green River's population is approximately 14,000. Trona mining, natural gas production and the railroad are still the major employers in the area. The area is constantly changing with the introduction of new businesses and the community works hard at maintaining its timeless and peaceful setting.

🦺 Safety Day with Simplot! 🚜🚌🐾

A BIG thank you to Simplot for spending time with our 5th graders and providing a fun and educational Safety Day!
Our students had the opportunity to learn important safety lessons through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Our Transportation Department also joined in, giving students the chance to practice school bus evacuation drills and learn what to do in the event of an emergency.

And of course, Buddy, our K9 officer, was there to support the day and spend some time with our students! 🐾💙

We’re grateful for Simplot, our Transportation Department, Buddy, GRPD, GRFD and everyone who helped make Safety Day a fun and valuable learning experience for our students!

What a great way to kick off the school year! We loved seeing our students, families, staff, and community come together for a fun night under the lights at Wolves Stadium.

A huge THANK YOU to our Student Council for putting together such a great event and to everyone who came out, brought their blankets and chairs, and helped make the evening so much fun!
