We’re ending our summer band camp on a high note!! These students have put in so much amazing work and we’re excited to get to show you all what they’ve done!

Our very own Middle School Band Director, Mr Sinay had the opportunity to conduct at the ABA Conductors Symposium! He was able to work with Dr Hand from the University of Oklahoma and continue improving his craft

The 2026 Green Forest Color Guard and Drum Major worked extremely hard this week at the Frontlines camp and brought home a bunch of new awards; including the first trophies for the Fall '26 Marching Band! These kids put in some heavy hours of rehearsals this week and showed some SERIOUS grit! Whether it was practicing during food breaks, taking on challenging new routines, or getting out of their comfort zones, these kids showed up and showed out! With over half of the students being brand new to Marching Band, they achieved an Outstanding "Grand Champions" award for both Drum Major and Color Guard and were given a very special "110% Award" in recognition of their tenacity and willingness to push themselves ❤️🤍

El '26 Color Guard y el Drum Major* de Green Forest trabajaron arduamente esta semana en el campamento Frontlines y regresaron a casa con varios premios nuevos, ¡incluidos los primeros trofeos para la banda de marcha de la temporada de otoño de 2026! Estos jóvenes dedicaron muchísimas horas a los ensayos esta semana y demostraron una determinación admirable. Ya fuera practicando durante los descansos para comer, afrontando nuevas y desafiantes rutinas o saliendo de su zona de confort, ¡dieron lo mejor de sí y brillaron con luz propia! A pesar de que más de la mitad de los estudiantes eran principiantes en la banda de marcha, lograron el destacado título de "Grand Champions" tanto en la categoría de *drum major* como en la de *color guard*, además de recibir un galardón muy especial, el "Premio 110%", en reconocimiento a su tenacidad y a su disposición para superarse a sí mismos. ❤️🤍

Our students competed today for the State Solo and Ensemble and received 2 superior and 10 Excellent awards!! Our students have worked extremely hard and it really shows!
Nuestro estudiantes participaron en el evento de el estado de Solo and Ensemble y recibieron 12 medallas! Los estudiantes han trabajado duro y se mira!!

Words can’t describe how amazing these groups played today!! They truly rose to the occasion and performed their hearts out! An amazing concert season comes to an end! These students have faced adversity and have continue to improve and fight! We are proud of all them and know that Green Forest Bands have a bright future!! An phenomenal concert by our Jazz Band and our High School Band!! Truly, Mt Everest ain’t got nothing on us!!

Palabras no pueden describir cuán bueno tocaron estos grupos! Subieron su nivel en todo occasion y tocar con todo sus corazones! Estos estudiantes tuvieron pruebas y dudas pero en todo moment siguieron trabajando duro! Estamos orgulloso de todo ellos y sabes que el futuro de la bandas de Green Forest está buenísimo! Un concierto tan fabuloso
