Kicked off the 2026 Clay County Fair last week decorating our hay bale! We chose to highlight all of our favorite sides to the CCAF with all of the neon and 80s touches 🪩⚡️💚

We ended up winning 1st place🥇Way to go girls!

Attention FFA members! National FFA Week is coming up quickly! Don’t forget to dress up each day and be on the look out for the fun activities we have planned for you.

We are also running a pet shelter donation drive during FFA week. Anyone who donates an item (or dresses up each day) will receive a raffle ticket for a prize drawing at the end of the week. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you! 💙💛

Last week, our 7th grade FFA officers had the opportunity to attend the District 4 FFA Leadership Day with the theme “Fueled by Purpose, Driven to Serve.” These members had the opportunity to attend different workshops focused on building students’ premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. Thank you to Maggie and Kendyl for hosting this great leadership opportunity for our members! 🏁

At the end of January, LAJH FFA had 8 members compete at the FL FFA District level contest. Our members competed in Creed Speaking, Prepared Public Speaking, and Opening and Closing Ceremonies. The hardwork and dedication they have put into these contests led to a successful day!

🥉Iris Courtney placed 3rd overall in middle school Prepared Public Speaking

🥈 Aubrey Brock placed 2nd overall in Creed Speaking

🥇 Iris Courtney, Emory Padgett, Zilan Kaplan, Chloe Pelfrey, Ashby Combs, Clayton Sellers, and Emmalyn Leedy are a part of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies team, which placed 1st in the OCC contest. These members will be moving on to the state level competition this June at the FL FFA State Convention and Expo!

We had several of our FFA members compete in the subdistrict speaking contests today and they did outstanding! They each pulled out 1st place in their respective divisions and will compete at the district level in January. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication these members have put in to practicing for their contest the past few months.
