We are running for the Board of Education in Green Brook, New Jersey because we want to put the education of our children before all else. As a result, our families' most valuable financial asset--our homes--are tied to the success of our schools. We decided to run because the Board of Education's actions in the last five years have given us pause and made us concerned about whether our schools and, as a result, our home values will be diminished. If elected here is what we promise:
(1) To "Put Education First" by ensuring that educational excellence and supporting our students, teachers, and staff is our central priority. We want to make Green Brook a place that excellent administrators, teachers and staff want to spend their careers. (2) We promise to "Bridge the Gap" between the town and the Board with the goal of bringing trust back to the Board of Education. We plan to do this by listening to you and actually considering your input. (3) We promise to make the Board actions more transparent. We will notice all meetings in ways to ensure more Green Brook residents are reached, ensure that our minutes and agendas are easily accessible and will attempt to make the Board meetings accessible via video link from home. (4) Finally, we promise to make reasoned and intelligent decisions for our town. We will use our professional knowledge as an attorney, CPA, business owner and in sales and marketing to work for our town to ensure that our decisions are fiscally responsible and make sense. Our town's budget is principally affected by our schools. In light of the budget issues that are likely to result because of COVID-19, we need leaders we can trust to navigate and think critically about complex issues. We would appreciate your vote for all four of us to ensure we can effect the most change to our Board. We welcome your comments and thank you for your support.
