A new aviation opportunity is taking flight in Northeast Wisconsin. ✈️

Last night at Austin Straubel Airport - Green Bay, WI, we joined Aviate Flight School to introduce the region’s first Professional Aeronautics Certification (PAC) program.

Through this partnership, NWTC and Aviate Flight School are creating a direct pathway for aspiring pilots to enter the aviation industry through hands-on training at both NWTC’s Green Bay campus and Aviate Flight School's facility at Austin Straubel International Airport.

Last week was an exciting week for the Greater Green Bay Chamber, Chamber Young Professionals, and NWTC–CTED!

We were proud to be part of the CYP Week Friday morning closing event, where we officially announced our partnership with Chamber Young Professionals to bring "Leading Greater" to life.

Leading Greater is a leadership development series designed to equip young professionals—at any stage of their career—with practical, workplace-ready skills they can put into action from day one. Through the program, participants will deepen their understanding of their leadership style, strengthen communication and teamwork, and gain the confidence to lead in today’s evolving workplace.

This week we’ve been celebrating National Scrabble Day(Monday, April 13) and National Banana Day (Wednesday, April 15) the best way we know how—by putting our brains (and teamwork!) to the test with Bananagrams!

Staff was challenged to build the ultimate SUMMERTIME word puzzle. From sunshine and ice cream to vacations and campfires, creativity was flowing as fast as the ideas (and the candy 🍬).

Thanks to everyone who jumped in, added a word, and made this week a little more playful—and a lot more fun. Proof that a few tiles, some imagination, and great people can turn an ordinary day into something special!

When departments collaborate, students succeed 🚧🤝

Each year, our Energy team and CDL team come together for the EPD/Gas Utility Orientation. Through this collaboration, some of our CDL team—Judy and Instructor Rob (pictured here) —share valuable insight into CDL training with students in the Gas Utility and Electrical Power Distribution programs.

We’re proud to support program students by offering CDL training that helps them confidently pass the CDL test and earn their Commercial License. Partnerships like this strengthen learning, expand career pathways, and keep our students moving forward.
