St Thomas More School

St Thomas More School is a Catholic school within the GRACE school system located in Green Bay, WI. St.

Thomas More is the smallest of all GRACE schools, but has the biggest world focus. The importance of education is reflected in our accreditation by the Wisconsin Religious & Independent School Association. (WRISA) With a strong multi-cultural student body, we teach and practice mutual respect in the eyes of God and welcome new students with open and loving arms. Thomas More is focused on traditional Catholic values and teaching. We have a strong focus on the Spanish language with daily lessons and Spanish immersion classes. Our focus on RESPECT through multicultural eyes gives our student a solid religious grounding with a large global outlook. We look forward to sharing our school and its opportunities with your child.

🎉 What a wonderful Hispanic Heritage Celebration we had yesterday! Our children enjoyed fun activities, delicious food, dancing, and a beautiful piñata! 💃🪅
Thank you to all the families who helped and joined us! A very special thank-you goes to our Hispanic Heritage Planning Committee and all the teachers and staff who stayed late to help and celebrate with our school community.
So much time, planning, and hard work went into this event, and the smiles on our children’s and families’ faces made it all worthwhile! ❤️

🦠 Last week, our 7th-grade health class welcomed a special guest! Nurse Julie Schoenrock from Brown County Public Health visited St. Thomas More to teach students about respiratory illness season, preventing illness, and proper handwashing to wash away germs! 🧼👏

Students also received goodie bags filled with disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues, and more!

Thank you, Nurse Julie, for helping our students learn healthy habits to care for themselves and others! 💙

Our first-grade "Creation Caregivers" are on the job! 🕵️‍♂️🌱 In our current unit, our students are exploring how the nature around us reflects God's love and care for us. In response, they've been practicing nurturing plants, caring for animals, and keeping our earth clean and beautiful! Look at these bright smiles as they show love to the world God gave us! 🎨🍃

🔬 Creativity meets science in fifth grade! Our students created detailed dioramas showcasing the structure of a cell. Each project reflected their creativity and learning, and they were proud to share their work! 🌟

🙏 Some of our middle school students represented St. Thomas More at the Diocese of Green Bay All Schools Mass, celebrated by Bishop David Ricken at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion on the feast day of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.
Our students brought the Bishop a special gift: a spiritual bouquet of prayers lovingly and faithfully offered by every grade at STM! 💐
This beautiful gift reflected St. Thérèse’s “Little Way”— doing small things with great love—and united our school community in prayer for Bishop Ricken. ❤️

Our middle school is holding monthly meetings to discuss areas for improvement, celebrate what's going well, and recognize students who are modeling our Virtue of the Month.

September’s virtue was RESPECT. While so many of our students demonstrate respect each and every day, these three students truly modeled it all day, every day! 👏

Our 4th graders are learning how their body systems work together to help them carry out everyday activities! 👀👐 Through a hands-on activity, they explored how a partial or complete loss of vision or the ability to feel and grasp objects could affect daily tasks. This lesson encouraged curiosity, understanding, and empathy for others. 💙

🏞️ Our sixth graders brought history to life today by creating their own river valley civilizations! As they designed their settlements, they explored why early communities built near rivers for water, farming, and transportation. Take a look at their work! 📸

Our 5th graders are kicking off their first math chapter by working together to explore place value! 🔢 It’s wonderful to see them share ideas, explain their thinking, and learn from one another. Go Hawks! 💙

📚 Our kindergarten students are beginning to recognize and read high-frequency words in Spanish class, including “yo” (“I”)! They’re also learning to use their “magic finger” to follow the words as they read their books. We love seeing their confidence grow, one word at a time! ✨
