Earlier this month, students from across Wisconsin gathered in Wisconsin Dells for the WTCS Student Ambassador leadership event, and NWTC was proud to be represented by Carla Larson, one of just 16 ambassadors statewide.

During the April 16 awards banquet, Carla and her peers were recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and service, and celebrated for the role they’ll play representing technical education across Wisconsin throughout the coming year.

“It’s rare to have the opportunity to speak to a room of more than 200 influential leaders who are all there to support your success,” Carla shared. “This experience was truly incredible and sparked a sense of purpose and excitement I’ve never felt before.”

Congratulations to Carla and the entire 2026 WTCS Student Ambassador cohort for elevating student voices and highlighting the impact of Wisconsin’s technical colleges! 👏
