We're a few weeks away from the first day of school! Here's your Back to School GBAPS checklist:

✅ Registration: New students should register for school. Visit gbaps.org/registration to learn more. Contact Central Registration at 920-448-2001 or [email protected] with questions about registration or to check on your current enrollment.

✅ School Supplies: Find your school's supply list at gbaps.org/schoolsupplies.

✅ Open House: Check your school's website for Open House dates and times.

✅ Transportation information: Parents/guardians will be notified during the week of August 24, 2026, to login to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to view the transportation bus number, stop location and pick-up/drop-off times. Information will also be available via the My Ride K-12 app. Learn more at gbaps.org/transportation.

✅ Update contact information: Visit gbaps.org/registration and click on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal button under Existing Families. Access the Parent Portal to update your contact information.

The Green Bay Area Public School District is offering Substitute Teacher Certification training on July 28, 2026, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Anyone interested in substitute teaching, who has an associate's degree or higher in any field, is invited to participate in this free training. Green Bay Education Association (GBEA) executive director David Harswick is the recipient of the 2026 Cunningham Dickinson Watson Staff Award. He was presented with the award at the April 25 Representative Assembly in Oshkosh by WEAC executive director Bob Baxter.

Emilie Heil is the 2026 WEAC Education Support Professional of the Year. Emilie is the Paraprofessional Development and Effectiveness Coordinator for the Green Bay Area Public School District and a leader in Green Bay Education Association (GBEA).

When presenting Emilie with the award at the April 25 WEAC Representative Assembly in Oshkosh, WEAC President Peggy Wirtz-Olsen said, "Emilie is a highly skilled paraprofessional who cares deeply about her students, their schools and her union."

As governor, I will use my power to put our kids first. We will make sure every community in the state has great public schools while easing the divisive referendums and property tax hikes. We will work to bring the failed, unaccountable voucher scheme to a responsible end. Every kid deserves a great public education – and it will be my job to keep that promise to our kids.

I am proud to have earned WEAC's recommendation of my candidacy for governor and look forward to continuing to build momentum!

The Green Bay Education Association (GBEA) supports graduating seniors in the Green Bay Schools every year through our GBEA Scholarship program. Come out and help us fund more scholarships and celebrate our amazing paraprofessionals tomorrow night!
