Last Friday, we celebrated our 8th graders during their final day at Holy Cross—a day filled with tradition, memories, and plenty of fun!
We began with our Friendship Card Mass, a special Holy Cross tradition where younger students create cards and notes for our graduating class. It’s always a beautiful reminder of the connections formed across grade levels.
The celebration continued with yearbook signing, sharing memories with classmates and teachers, and one of the most anticipated events of the year—the 8th Grade vs. Staff Volleyball Game.
For the first time in many years, the 8th grade class emerged victorious over the staff team! Congratulations to our graduates on a well-earned win and a memorable final day.
We are proud of each of you and grateful for the impact you've had on our school community. We wish you God's blessings as you begin your next chapter!

God’s little reminders are hidden all around the playground! During recess, our students excitedly discovered several 4-leaf clovers. Moments like these remind us to slow down, appreciate the beauty of God’s creation, and recognize the small blessings He places in our day.

Our Kindergarten students put their engineering skills to the test during their PLTW unit! Using a variety of materials, they worked to design and build a cast that was both lightweight and supportive. The students showed great teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving as they tested different ideas and discovered what worked best. Future engineers in the making!

One of the most meaningful traditions at our school is the way our students take part in the Mass from the very beginning of their journey with us.
Starting in 1st grade, students are invited into the sacred responsibility of participating in the Mass parts—learning not only what to say and do, but why it matters. As they grow, so does their confidence, understanding, and reverence, and by the time they reach graduation, they have fully carried this tradition with them through every year.

Our graduating high school seniors, all proud HC alumni, joined us for Mass, toured the school, and spent time talking with our middle school students about their high school experiences, favorite memories, future plans, and advice for the years ahead.
It was such a meaningful opportunity for our younger students to hear firsthand how the strong foundation built at HC continues to guide and support our alumni as they prepare for their next chapter.
We are so proud of each of these students and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in the future. Once an HC student, always part of the HC family!

Our students in grades 1-4 had a great day at Baird’s Creek! The highlight of the trip was exploring the creek — searching for creatures, splashing in the water, and discovering nature up close. The students even suited up in waders to step right into the creek for a true hands-on adventure! It was a day full of learning, curiosity, and fun with friends.
