Session 1 of Summer School starts June 15, 2026! Here are a few reminders:
🚌 Transportation may be provided for elementary and middle school students, using centralized pick-up spots.
🍎 Breakfast and lunch are provided for all students attending Summer School.
🎒 Students do not need to bring supplies; they are highly encouraged to bring a backpack.

Summer School Session 1 runs from June 15-July 10, 2026 (No classes June 19 or week of June 29-July 3, 2026) for Elementary students and from June 15-July 7, 2026 (No classes June 19 or July 3, 2026) for Middle & High School students.

Learning doesn't stop when school lets out. Neither does the need for good nutrition! This year's Summer Meals Program starts at community sites on June 10, 2026. Meals begin at summer school buildings on June 15, 2026. ☀️

All children (not only GBAPS students) 18 years old and younger can receive free summer meals from GBAPS. Families do not have to qualify for free/reduced meals to participate.

Don't forget to sign up for our end of school year picnic at MacArthur. It will be June 2nd from 5:00-7:00 pm! We will have many fun activities, food and a lot of memories. You can sign up for the picnic using the link below, by responding to this message or returning the yellow sign up sheet to your child's teacher. We cannot wait to celebrate an amazing school year with you!

We had a blast with our friends from Kennedy Elementary School today at Pamperin Park! Our students were excited to come together as future Starr Elementary School Rockets! 🌟🚀

Next stop: Learning! Our fifth graders had a ticket to ride to the National Railroad Museum this week. They learned about the history of the railway, took a train ride and discovered new facts about the various locomotives.
