This is a shower remodel I worked on last summer. The client had a tub surround with an arch ceiling, she wanted it all replaced with a tile shower. I removed the arch ceiling to open it up and added some lighting above the shower. The plumbing fixtures were upgraded with a Delta rain style head and wand attachment. Schluter brushed nickel pentagonal shelves were used in the corners which matched the fixtures beautifully. My favorite part of this shower was the pebble floor. After grouting you can see the sparkle from the quartz in some of the stone. I’ll post a separate video so you can see the sparkle.
To top it all off we installed a glass door, my Dad came by to help. Thanks to Toni Raymaker for help with the design everything turned out beautiful.

This was a big shower I finished last December. Curbless walk-in shower with Large Format Tile (24x48”) and a (18”x48”)Ribbed Tile on the back wall. This home was built by Caleb Lenss. Thank you Caleb for the opportunity to do this for you. It was a fun project and I enjoyed working with u. It was also nice meeting and getting to know your family.

It’s been a while since I posted. This is a project I completed back in the Fall of 2025. This project was very challenging. A couple of firsts for me. These were 1” hexagons, I typically like to use an uncoupling membrane but the minimum requirement is a 2” tile so I used Blanke Permat for the first time. This is also my first time custom making a custom border. Lots of swearing occurred throughout the project but I got through it.😁

Voting for the Floor Trends and Installation Awards has started again this year. I do not have any projects submitted this year. Some of my peers have projects submitted in the Residential Tile and Stone Catagory. Chris Resti of Crest Tile and Mosaic, Inc.has the “Great Blue Heron” and Josh Vassallo of Vassallo Tile and Stone has the “Streets of Portugal”. Both projects are amazing if intersted follow the link below to participate in voting. https://www.floortrendsmag.com/installation-awards/voting May the best man win.

I love the look of a miter. This is the second step to getting that crisp clean look. Details matter!

This past year I’ve been installing Onyx Shower Systems. This is a service I’m now providing as an option for people who want to spend less than tile, but want a clean upgrade. I have samples in a variety of textures and colors. If anyone is interested contact me and I would be more than happy to give u a quote.

I’ve been noticing big tile is starting to become a trend in our area. It seems like we are 5 years behind the East and West coast. The tiles in these pictures are 24”x 48” Porcelian Tile. This job the client wanted electric heat under the floor tile. Bigger tile requires special tools and implementing slightly different methods than normal tile. If you scroll through the pictures i used directional troweling on both surfaces and fully collapsed the ridges with a vibration tool. Doing it this way gave me 100% mortar coverage. With the heat membrane 2 tiles would burn up 1 bag of mortar. The niche and foot shelf are mitered and filled with a color match epoxy. This was a fun project for me and hope to see more of this trend in the future. Special thanks to Marc Palazzo for his wisdom on working with this tile.

This is a bathroom remodel I did 2 years ago. I wish I would have taken before pictures. I removed an old tub surround and installed a new tub with a tile surround. The client wanted a wider niche but I was limited to what I could do because of venting in the wall. Miters around the niche with a nice basketweave mosaic on the back wall. Upgraded plumbing fixtures, new toilet and installed a new tile floor. It was neat to see how crisp and clean this transformation came together.

A project I worked on this past fall. The clients were great people to work for. They went with natural stone pebbles for a deco the niche and the shower floor. I used an epoxy grout for the pebbles which helps seals and enhances the beauty of the natural pebbles. All the outside corners were mitered for the doorway, the niche and the foot shelf. I believe 52 edges of tile were cut for miters. I filled the miters with Akemi Platinum custom color matched epoxy.
