UWGB Pride Center

Last night - May 30, 2026, was a wonderful night where we got to celebrate the accomplishments of our friend Rain - a recent high school graduate and talented artist. He was honored at the GSAFE 2026 - Celebration of Leadership, where he received the 2026 Trustage Scholarship! Rain gave an amazing speech filled with grace and humor.

Rain attended our last offered UW-Pride Camp in 2023 where he was able to represent himself through art, be in community with elders like Joe Torres and learn about LGBTQ history. His art would later be displayed with other LGBTQ+ youth art at the Neville Public Museum in their exhibit: Telling Our Stories - a pivotal moment that has led him on his path to college where he will major in art! We cannot wait to see what you accomplish Rain! You’re already doing amazing things! Be proud! Congratulations! Keep doing your thing! We are so proud of you! 🏳️‍⚧️💜🏳️‍🌈💜🫶🎓🎨

Congrats to our own Pride Center Intern: Chris Bory who is being recognized tonight: Friday - May 15, 2026 with a Chancellor's Medallion at the 45th Annual University Awards Program!

In addition to the Chancellor's Medallion - Chris also received the 2025-2026 Lavender Leadership Intern Award from the UWGB Pride Center.

Future Plans:
Being a great dad! Chris is active as an environmental educator and looks forward to continuing in the field of Environmental Education with Bookworm Gardens and UW-Green Bay.

You made it through the year! And grads you’re off and on your way! Wishing you all well! Remember we are open M-F 8am-4:30pm… so drop in and visit! Thanks for making memories with us. Year #15 is 4 months in- but we are not done yet. Follow us this summer and fall to see what we are up to!
