Dragons got a visit from our favorite football players, Green Bay Blizzard who delivered kickballs and footballs for our students through their Powering Up Playgrounds initiative!!

Learning doesn't stop when school lets out. Neither does the need for good nutrition! This year's Summer Meals Program starts at community sites on June 10, 2026. Meals begin at summer school buildings on June 15, 2026. ☀️

All children (not only GBAPS students) 18 years old and younger can receive free summer meals from GBAPS. Families do not have to qualify for free/reduced meals to participate.

As this school year winds down, John Dewey Academy of Learning wants to share some exciting news.

Mr. Mike has decided to into the next phase of his journey and retire! We are deeply grateful for his years of dedicated service to our school and our students. Mr. Mike is the original Dragon Tamer and has seen our community through all it's phases. His guidance and encouragement of students has propelled Dragons into their future.

We are excited for whatever comes next!

Graduation Reminders: Seniors were sent home with tickets last week. Tickets are required for entry due to limited space. Seniors must also turn in their computer and chargers before graduation takes place. Rehearsal for the ceremony will be at noon on Thursday at Backstage at the Meyer.

Our first annual Carnival took flight on Friday! Dragons of all ages soared through a variety of games and activities to celebrate the end of another legendary school year. The fiercest competition of the day was the Advisory Relay, where Mr. Jon's advisory emerged as the reigning dragon champions after a fire-breathing battle that went into double overtime. Despite a valiant effort from Ms. Jenna's clan, Mr. Jon's team managed to claim the treasure and earn bragging rights until next year's carnival quest! Huge thank you to Mischief of Magic for coming and making all our balloon art!

Last night was our final dragon gathering of the year, and what a legendary flight it was! 🐉

A huge thank you to everyone who soared by to see the incredible projects our young dragons have been forging this trimester. Our senior dragons proudly unveiled their final capstone treasures, showcasing the skills and knowledge they've been hoarding throughout their journey.

Our fundraiser was an absolute fire-breathing success! Thank you to everyone who contributed to our dragon's hoard and helped support our programs. A special shoutout to Minzo's Kitchen, LLC for setting up booyah outside.

Thank you all for helping us end the year on such a magical note. Until our dragons take flight again!
