On Wednesday we released the butterflies! It has been fun watching them change from caterpillars to butterflies!🐛🦋

Pictures from the past couple weeks at Genesis!

When we came to school this morning we had two butterflies! During class, five more emerged. We are still waiting on two more. I have them at home for the weekend and will be giving them fruit to drink the juice. Hopefully we have a nice day on Monday so we can release them at school. 🐛🦋

When we got to school on Monday, all of the caterpillars were in their chrysalis. We have moved them to the net and are anxiously awaiting their transformations to butterflies🐛🦋

Today is Gym Day! Please have your child wear appropriate shoes!🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

In case you haven’t heard, we have caterpillars in our classroom! They will turn into Painted Lady butterflies and should hatch just in time for the end of the school year. They arrived after class last Wednesday. The first pic is from then, the second from Monday. They grow very quickly! They stay in the jar until they form a chrysalis. The brown stuff in the jar is food!

On Monday, Officer Brock visited our classroom! He taught us some safety lessons, told us what his job is and how police keep us safe and gave each of the children a badge! Afterwards, we went outside to see his police car. It was a great learning experience for all of us and we are so thankful he took time out of his day for us! Thank you Officer Brock!
