NWTC students made a real difference this tax season.

Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, 11 Accounting students contributed 266.5 volunteer hours to help community members navigate the tax filing process.

Their service helped 359 taxpayers and resulted in $529,856 in total federal refunds claimed.

This is applied learning in action: students using classroom knowledge to gain real-world experience, support individuals and families, and give back to the community in a meaningful way.

We are proud of our students for the impact they made through service, skill, and commitment.

Real ideas. Real businesses. Real results.

The 7th Annual NWTC Pitch Competition wrapped up on March 31, and our students brought their best. Judges heard pitches spanning pet care, outdoor adventure, logistics, healthcare, and floral design, and more than a few of these ventures are already open for business.

Earning the top two spots and a shot at the WTCS Regional Pitch Competition:
πŸ₯‡ Les Cornette - 1st Place
πŸ₯ˆ Veronica Garcia - 2nd Place

They'll compete at Mid-State Technical College in Stevens Point on April 21 at 4:00 p.m. for a $1,000 prize. We're cheering you on!

A huge thank you to Jerry Lintz for his vision and commitment in making this event shine year after year.

We’re proud to celebrate NWTC alum Amanda Miceli, owner of The BOLD Marketing Agency, for being named the 2026 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Greater Green Bay Chamber.

Amanda is a 2021 graduate of the Business Management program and was deeply involved in the NWTC Collegiate DECA Club, advised by Jerry Lintz. Since graduating, she has built a successful marketing agency and continues to stay closely connected to NWTC students.

Amanda regularly gives back to the program by speaking to Jerry’s classes and DECA students each year. She also serves as a judge for the NWTC Pitch Contest, where students have four minutes to present their business ideas to a panel of judges. This spring’s NWTC Pitch event will take place March 31 at 4:30 p.m. in the Collaboration Center (BT233).

Jerry Lintz had the opportunity to join Amanda at her table during last night’s Future 15 event, where she was recognized for this outstanding achievement.

It is with great pride and excitement that we celebrate Amanda and the impact she continues to make as an entrepreneur and supporter of NWTC students. Congratulations, Amanda!
