The UWGB Regional Center for Math and Science (RCMS) helps prepare high school juniors and seniors of first generation college and/or low income backgrounds for postsecondary experiences in STEM fields. RCMS is a part of the TRIO and Precollege Programs Department. RCMS is a federally funded, six week residential pre-college program, designed to enhance and enrich high school students' understanding of science, mathematics, and the nature of scientific research. The Center's goal is to increase the math and science skills of high school students in order to prepare them for a university program of study in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. Students MUST currently be a sophomore in one of the following 20 target schools:

One or preferably both of the following criteria must also be met:
POTENTIAL FIRST-GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENT - participant comes from a family where neither parent has earned a four-year college degree
LOW INCOME - participant's family income is at or below federally determined low income levels. Additionally, students must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale), and have a goal of entering a postsecondary institution of choice (either a university or technical school).
