Kellie's Keys Private individualized music lessons on various instruments: piano, woodwinds, beginning strings, some brass, and limited voice.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Music with a piano proficiency from Northland International University in 2002; electives include Teaching secondary school music, String techniques, and Woodwind techniques. Professional Background:
Two private schools as the full time music teacher in the following capacities: Band, Choir, Handbells director, general music teacher, recorders, and fine art preparation from K3 -12th grade. College music classes taught at Arlington Baptist Church's College & Institute in Baltimore, MD. Individual private lessons since 1997. Preferred Curriculum/Repertoire:
Piano - Faber and Faber Piano Adventures
Guitar and Strings - Hal Leonard
Woodwinds - Depends on individual student and sometimes their school curriculum. I have used Accent, Rubank, Standard of Excellence, Yamaha, and more. Voice - varied, determined after meeting with each student

Online lessons also available for same rules/cost, form of payment decided individually before contract is signed, must have Skype, FaceTime, or Facebook video with both video and audio. Must get books I recommend on your own. Additional Cost: Students are responsible to purchase their own books according to what the teacher thinks is necessary to benefit the most. (Teacher may purchase books for students who would have to reimburse at next lesson.) Students must have a notebook at every lesson, pencil also preferred.

I had several lessons over summer and am not sure yet if I will be booked up for the school year. I will post if I have any available openings once the school year begins.

Lessons have been on the slow end the past few years with having my babies and being so busy, so I had not been looking for more lessons. This year I have so many that I am maxed out at the moment.
Current lessons for me: Piano, violin, Flute, Clarinet.

Hello! I hope you are all having a great summer and have a wonderful Independence Day! Thank you to those who have been patient while I was on maternity leave, I love being a mommy to my beautiful daughter, but I am missing my students! I will be starting up summer lessons the week after July 4th, please let me know if interested so that I can schedule you in and send you appropriate info. FYI, this is the last 2 months to take advantage of my $15 half hour price, it will be going up to $17 in September. Thank you and will be seeing some of you soon!

I am working on my scheduling for January through April/May lessons right now; if anyone new is interested, please let me know.
*A few things about this next semester of lessons. For those who do not know, I am expecting my first child in mid May, so my plan is to teach from the 2nd week of January through April and then we can take a week by week approach in May. Hopefully, if everything goes well, I will start summer lessons again in June.
