🧴🧼 LET’S FILL THE SHELVES FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL! 🎒💙

United We Learn is collecting personal care and toiletry items to support children and families served by Foster the Village.

As kids head back to school, having everyday essentials like shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, laundry detergent, and other personal care items can make a meaningful difference.

✨ Let’s help kids and families start the school year feeling supported, cared for, and ready for what’s ahead.

Every donation matters. One bottle of shampoo. One tube of toothpaste. One container of laundry detergent. When a community comes together, those individual acts of kindness add up to something BIG. 💙

📦 Want to help?
Donate an item (or a few!) from our Amazon collection list that will be out later on August 9 and help us fill the shelves at Foster the Village.

Because supporting children also means supporting the families and caregivers walking alongside them.

💛 Together, United We Learn!
Together, we can make a difference.

One thing I want you to remember about United We Learn is this…

Think of it like a buffet. 🍽️

You don’t have to take everything. Take what you need, leave the rest for someone else, and come back whenever you’re ready for more.

Whether it’s a children’s book, a trusted resource, a school experience, or a practical tool, my hope is that you’ll find something that helps you support the children in your life.

💓 What is this measuring?

The sensor on my ear measures the tiny changes between each heartbeat. Those changes show how my nervous system is responding in real time.

HeartMath uses that information to calculate coherence—a score that reflects how well my heart, brain, and emotions are working together.

✨ Today’s session:
💚 Average Coherence: 3.6
💚 I spent 94% of my session in High Coherence
❤️ Average Heart Rate: 70 BPM

In simple terms?
For most of this session, my body was in a calm, balanced state.

What I love most is that instead of someone telling me to “just calm down,” I can actually see how my body is responding and learn techniques to help bring it into a calmer, more balanced state.

Have you ever wished you could actually see when your body is becoming calmer? That’s exactly why I love HeartMath and want to share. Get 10% off with my code. Tap on reel or link in bio. ❤️

‼️Spoiler alert… I have a 9-to-5 job, and I also lead United We Learn.

I’m not here to pretend life is perfectly curated. Sometimes showing up means wet hair, no makeup, and pressing record because the message matters more than perfection. (Just hear the imperfection at the minute mark in the video. 🐭)

Like many of you, I’m always thinking about the next way to help others. But I’m learning that taking care of the people around me starts with taking care of myself.

That’s why I’m beginning my journey with the Inner Balance Coherence Plus from HeartMath. I’m excited to see how using real-time feedback can help me become less stressed, healthier, and more empowered—so I can show up as my best self for the children, families, educators, and caring adults I serve.

I’ll be sharing what I learn along the way, and I’d love for you to join me on the journey.

Development conversations happen when we pause to learn from others.

This week, I’m highlighting two trusted voices that I believe are worth following:

💛 Lucy Louder | Brave Parenting shares thoughtful guidance on navigating difficult friendship situations. Should parents step in?

💙 Dr. Stacy Kelsey explains how self-soothing begins in the parent-child relationship and why those early interactions shape a child’s ability to regulate emotions for years to come.

As an educator, parent, and founder of United We Learn, I can personally relate to both of these messages. That’s why I’m creating a collection of trusted voices and resources that support the caring adults who are raising, teaching, and loving children.

Because when adults have the right tools, children thrive.

✨ Visit the Trusted Voices section on the United We Learn website to discover these resources and more.
