Notre Dame Academy Trap Team

We had an amazing day at the WI Clay Target State Tournament last Sunday. 25 Student Athletes competed in beautiful weather at the 30 field WTA Homegrounds Shooting Range in Nekoosa.

We are incredibly proud to announce the State 2nd Place finish of Kailey in the High Gun - Novice - Female division. Kailey shot a 77/100 with a reverse run of 7. She held first place for quite a while that day, and finished second by only one. Way to go Kailey!

We are equally excited to announce that Silverio finished in 4th place of the Jr Varsity - Male division. Silverio shot a remarkable 94/100 which also included two perfect rounds of 25! We've never handed out two 25 patches to the same Student Athlete in one day, congratulations on your outstanding shooting Silverio!

Some additional performances that are worthy of mentioning:

Emmett H competed at the Varsity level and shot a 90/100
Connor led our Novice Male category with a 67/100

The Spring 2022 NDA Trap Team Spring Season is officially a wrap! We've enjoyed every minute spent with this talented and fun group of Student Athletes. And, a special thanks to all the parents/grandparents who scored, filled traps, provided food and supported us along the way, we couldn't have done it without you!

What a wonderful night of shooting Monday as we enjoyed beautiful spring weather for Family Night and a round of Annie Oakley! Moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas and even Fr. Jordan joined us for a round of 25. Adam, Liam, Emmett H, Bryce and John led the student scores, but many adults kept it competitive with Ed and Merle showing the younger generation how it’s done 😊 Annie Oakley was a blast and will no doubt become an annual tradition. Congratulations to Adam who finished on top!

We finally enjoyed some nice temps (despite more wind) for Week 5 of League Competition. Sophomore Emmett H led the team with some great shooting, finishing with a 45. Congratulations to the following Top Guns for the week:

40 mph wind gusts didn't slow this group down at all Monday night, as they competed in League Competition Week #4. We are proud of how quickly our student athletes adjusted to the challenging conditions! Emmett H led the way with a 42, and despite the weather five broke 40 or more clays. Finally, a mild and sunny evening greeted our student athletes as they completed their Reserve Week shooting in the WI Clay Target League. It's been so exciting to see the improvements made week over week by so many! Once the fog cleared, we were greeted with more chilly weather for our Practice Week #2 of the 2022 NDA Trap Team Spring Season. Special thanks to all of our amazing parents and grandparents who have taken lots of time and patience to provide coaching and advice to our new team members. The improvements week over week have been extraordinary!

We had an awesome start to the NDA Spring 2022 Trap Season Monday night. Despite very cold temps, our student athletes took full advantage of Practice Week #1 by asking lots of questions, practicing their skills, and cheering each other on . We are so excited to have 36 student athletes representing NDA this year! I was so busy trying to get organized that I forgot to take pictures, but this one was shared with me! Looking forward to Practice Week #2 on Monday!
