We ended our semester celebrating our professor, Dr. Warner on her retirement after 32 years at UW Green Bay!

Time to spotlight our finalists! First up is Awaken! We loved our visit with them and know they will do great things in the Green Bay Community.

Learning by giving: UW-Green Bay philanthropy class awards $10K grant to local non-profit Since 2012, the course has donated more than $110,000 to Green Bay area non-profit organizations.

We are so excited to announce that COMSA will be receiving our grant! The work that that do impacts our community in so many ways, especially when it comes to refugees! Congratulations COMSA!

We could tell Amanda was bound for great things! Loved having you as the TA for Philanthropy - we are about to make our award this coming Thursday!

As we gear up for our big event this week, we are thrilled to spotlight our three finalists! Once we've announced our grant recipient, we will delve into the remarkable stories of these incredible organizations right here on our social media platforms.

We received a plethora of compelling applications for our grant, making the selection process incredibly challenging. Narrowing it down to just three was no small feat! These are the organizations whose sites we visited, providing us with truly wonderful and eye-opening experiences.

Enjoy the exciting moment that the Philanthropy class announces the recipientof their Learning by Giving grant and presents the big check!

We will then recognize the accomplishments of students across our Public & Environmental Affairs programs as well as outstanding community partners.
For the first time this year, we will make distinguished alumni awards to those who have excelled after graduating from our programs.

We had a moving class last evening where we chose our 2024 grant recipient from among several tremendous finalists - and shared personally about how drug addiction has impacted us directly. Can't wait to bring this to our community during our April 25 event.
