Dear friends,

Today I want to introduce my Tech Angel.
The other face behind the pages-Editorial Team Lead-Miss Hannah Collins.

I’m a lucky writer — truly. She cares deeply about the work, and maybe a little about the person behind it too. But the work… that’s where her devotion shines brightest.

Hannah is multi‑talented, multi‑tasking, and endlessly reliable. She’s the one who fixes every problem, formats every file, catches every detail, and brings clarity to the chaos of publishing.

She’s allowed me to introduce her to all of you — publicly, proudly — with her photo. That kind of trust is rare.

And look at her.
Radiant.
Professional.

A mind built for precision and a heart built for creativity.
She’s now the team lead for all four of my titles — To Say Goodbye Again, Shadows, Roads & Redemption- A Memoir, Jactionary, and Still Moving: Into the Clearing- A Memoir — and every future project that follows; we hope.

I couldn’t ask for a better partner in this literary journey.

Warm regards,
Jac & Hannah

⭐ Statement on the Transition from Drive for Freedom to The Jac Winters Foundation
To our truckers, affiliates, supporters, and every family who stood with us during the Drive for Freedom:

My wife and I poured our hearts into building something meaningful for America’s truckers. We believed in the mission, we believed in the people behind the wheel, and we believed in the families who sacrifice every day to keep this country moving. We were on our way — momentum was building, partnerships were forming, and the vision was strong.

But as a reputable organization, we eventually faced hurdles that could not be overcome, no matter how hard we tried or how much effort we invested. Some obstacles were structural, some were logistical, and some were simply out of our control. When it became clear that the Drive for Freedom could not continue in the way our truckers deserved, we made the difficult but responsible decision to bring that chapter to a close.

Since then, I began a new journey — one rooted in truth, healing, and personal transformation. I confronted a dark past that weighed on my life for decades, shaped by traumatic experiences I endured as a child. That journey changed me. It reshaped my purpose. It opened a door to a mission I never expected but now fully embrace.

Through that transformation, I became an author.
I have published two books, with a third soon to release, and a fourth already in progress — all centered on overcoming the past, reclaiming identity, and building a brighter future for myself, my family, and for adults who have lived in silence with pain and confusion from childhood trauma.

And that is where the Jac Winters Foundation was born.

This foundation exists to make a difference.
It exists to support adults who carry wounds from their childhood.
It exists to give voice to those who were never heard.
It exists to create community, connection, and hope.

Although the topic and direction have changed, the heart of the mission has not.

The Drive for Freedom was about improving lives.
The Jac Winters Foundation is about improving lives.

Different focus.
Same integrity.
Same commitment to community, society, and the world.

To every trucker, every affiliate, every supporter who believed in us then — I want you to know that the spirit of service continues. The mission continues. The desire to help continues. Only the direction has evolved, shaped by truth, experience, and a calling that became impossible to ignore.

This is ground zero for those who have lived in silence.
This is a home for survivors.
This is a place for healing, strength, and transformation.

The Jac Winters Foundation is here to make a difference — and we welcome you into this new chapter.

Vision

jacwinters.com

The Jac Winters Foundation exists to restore dignity, direction, and hope to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

We serve individuals who carried their trauma into adulthood — often silently, often alone — and we provide a path toward healing, rebuilding, and reclaiming a life that was interrupted too early.

This mission is not about one boy, one man, or one story. It is about the thousands of children who grew up in private hells they never asked for, and the adults they became — shaped, scarred, and often isolated by what was done to them.

We are here to change that.

Our Vision

We envision a world where survivors are not defined by what happened to them, but by the strength with which they rise.

A world where healing is not a secret, where support is not a luxury, and where every survivor has access to the tools, community, and care they need to rebuild their lives.

The Foundation will grow into a physical sanctuary — a Center for Rebuilding Lives — where survivors can stay in comfort and dignity.

A place staffed with qualified mental health professionals. A place where art, music, writing, and nature are part of the healing process. A place designed to restore clarity, strength, and the quality of life trauma tried to steal.

This is not a clinic. This is not an institution. This is a place where a wounded life becomes a whole life again.

Our Core Principles

1. Dignity Above All
Survivors deserve respect, not pity. Strength not stereotypes. Humanity, not sensationalism.

2. Healing Without Shame
Childhood trauma affects every part of a person’s life — relationships, identity, trust, self‑worth, and the very architecture of the mind. We acknowledge this openly, without stigma or judgment.

3. Leadership Through Strength
We do not ask survivors to follow. We invite them to lead — their own healing, their own future, their own story.
The Foundation stands as a steady presence: If you can stand, stand with us. If you cannot, we will help you up.

4. A Life Beyond Survival
Healing is not the end. It is the beginning.
Our work focuses not only on recovery, but on what comes after — rebuilding identity, purpose, and a life worth living.

5. Moral Clarity
We stand firmly against the cycle of harm. Surviving trauma does not excuse becoming a predator. We believe in accountability, choice, and the power of a person to rise above what was done to them.

Our Purpose

The Jac Winters Foundation exists because humanity demands that we show up for one another. Not for fame. Not for profit. Not for spectacle.

We show up because survivors deserve a place to land. A place to breathe. A place to rebuild. A place to become who they were always meant to be.

This is ground zero for a new direction — for every survivor who has lived too long in the shadows.
And we are here to stay.

I hear the voice of my father who passed away 20+ years ago,
David Carlson. What he taught me was so valuable.

Being a truck driver is the same as being a skilled athlete or bull rider.
You either have it inside of you or you never will.

An Innate ability to make intelligent decisions to positively affect others in every facet of life as it is associated to trucking.
Trucking is so much more than your dispatcher getting you your next load. It goes way deeper.

If a person is in this business just for a stipend of a paycheck. Those are the people who are depreciating the value of those who are skilled professional truck drivers who understand the business.

Money and everything else. Right down to picking up your own trash.
Those who do not have to be told and reminded constantly about the important idiosyncrasies of the job. Are the ones who belong in a truck.
I am saying it today.

Profile, dig, ask the important questions. Get the answer. Then show them the door if it's not what improves trucking for all.
"There must be a huge driver shortage in America if you want your value to increase".

"Truck drivers are the same as a product you sell. The more you produce the cheaper the person or commodity becomes". - Brian Carlson DFF.
As a professional truck driver who has tremendous business acumen. Please understand.

Until you get rid of dead weight. Slow down the influx of poorly trained quick buckers. You will never be held in any higher regard than the driver who has 200 hundred hours and burns up the company brakes coming down the first hill he/she pulls.

Comprehension, skill, passion, where-with-all, conviction, commitment, mannerisms.

{Heart}

That's what makes a champion. That's what makes a truck driver. If you do not have this inside you, park it, get out, we are tired of the garbage image.
Those drivers just cheapened the value of your neighbor. You have downgraded his/her efforts.

That truck they drive is just a piece of plastic with a steering wheel and tires if you do not have all of the above. "This business of terrible attitudes is terrible".

If you can't be professional. Turn the key other-way, and walk.

Good Morning Freedom Leaders.

For those of you who care about peoples lives. For those of you who care about the reputation of professional truck drivers in North America. For those of you who are tired of dealing with the complete lack of consideration from the FMCSA and the DOT.

Moreover the complete failure by a majority of the general public to recognize their hand in the mess; and the larger trucking firms failed leadership with respect to training our youth.

What I would like, is for you to do a bit of soul searching. Then ask this question?

At what point in our lives do we finally stand up collectively and push back?

What we would like to do, is replace those people with Individuals who are educated or have weathered the storms so to speak and stay on task.

However, lets say this is not possible, at the very least we can convince them to consult the people in the "know" before mandates are placed into effect. Our nation has intelligent truckers. They don't think so, but they are out there.

It is time in our country, that those people whom have only College or University degrees with no experience in the field of expertise that they oversee. Step aside and give way to the men and women who "know" our business and what must be done to improve it. So we all can prosper and elevate, clean up the mess from top to bottom.

So much posturing and meandering around wasting time and valuable resource. All the while we all sit idle by and watch death after death--- incident upon incident and do nothing.

The days of writing letters to our representatives and asking our voice to be heard are waning. Personal agendas and special interest groups fuel the fringe safety groups, who are uneducated as it is associated to the trucking industry.

We need to lift a voice high and loud enough that it will no longer be swept aside.

Anyone can write a letter, but it often ends up yet another fruitless piece of paper that gets shuffled to never land.

If we have truckers that want it to change. Then we must build a "Mountain of Courage" that transcends not only trucking but what makes us human.

When we see a death from a truck wreck. It must affect us at the very least in the short term. So that it propels us to act and prevent, for the overall good of everyone, in the long term.

The trucking world is most days a rolling machine of chaos and resentment, anger, and frustration.

In my opinion that is because we have placed everything else in life before the human Being.

When we discard, discount, misrepresent, alienate, push aside, berate, and judge the very aspect of trucking that is the most important aspect of trucking 'People,' this is what has lead to the demise of it all.

Save Lives! It's our job!
