🧱 It might look like play. We see learning.

Building with blocks. Exploring materials. Making choices. Trying an idea, discovering it doesn’t quite work, and trying again.

At Encompass, children are active participants in their own learning. Through the HighScope Curriculum, our classrooms are designed around hands-on experiences that encourage children to explore, experiment, solve problems and build independence and confidence.

And learning goes beyond academics. Through Conscious Discipline, our educators also help children learn to understand their emotions, build relationships, solve problems with others and develop skills they’ll carry with them far beyond the classroom.

Because at Encompass, play isn’t a break from learning. It’s how some of the most important learning happens. 💙💛

🏗️ Look what’s taking shape in East De Pere!

Construction is moving along at the new Belmark Family Center, and we’re excited to share a peek at the progress!

Opening in 2027, this innovative collaboration between Belmark, Emplify Health and Encompass will bring early education and care, employee wellness resources and family support services together under one roof. Encompass will provide the early education and care at the new center—our ninth Encompass location in Northeast Wisconsin!

We’re proud to be part of a collaboration investing in children, working families and our growing community, and it’s pretty exciting to see the vision becoming a reality, one wall at a time. 💙💛

There were some extra helping hands—and a whole lot of smiles—at our Rosebush Center today! 💛

As part of Schreiber Foods annual Impact Week, team members rolled up their sleeves to spend the day with Encompass. They tackled some of those always-needed classroom cleaning projects, read stories, joined our kids for playtime and jumped in wherever they could make a difference.

Days like today are a great reminder that supporting early education takes a community. Sometimes that looks like helping clean tiny chairs and classrooms. Sometimes it looks like sitting down with a good book and a group of little learners. And sometimes it’s simply giving your time to make someone else’s day a little brighter.

Thank you, Schreiber Foods, for choosing Encompass as part of your Impact Week and for continuing to show up for our children, families and mission. We loved having you at our center! 💙

🏗️ MONDAY CHALLENGE! 🥤

How tall can YOU build a cup tower?

At our Bellin Health Center, our School Age friends put their engineering skills to the test using a simple stack of plastic cups. The challenge: Build the tallest tower you can without letting it tumble!

Want to try it at home? Grab some plastic or paper cups, start stacking, and see how high you can go! For an extra challenge, measure your tower, try a different design, or see if you can beat your first attempt.

It may look like play, but children are practicing problem-solving, patience, creativity, and those all-important “try again” skills along the way. 💡

Last night’s Packers game may not have gone quite as planned… 😬🏈 But our friends at the Carol and Robert Bush Center know there’s still plenty to celebrate about football season!

CBC recently hosted a Fall Football Family Event, bringing children and families together for fall fun. 🍂💛

Our classrooms got in on the action by making homemade applesauce and muffins, families tackled a scavenger hunt around the playground, and our little football fans decorated their own jerseys and helmets and picked out temporary tattoos!

These are the moments we love, families spending time together, children proudly sharing their Encompass world, and lots of learning and laughter mixed in along the way.

There’s nothing quite like sharing your day with someone special! 💙💛

Our Bellin Center recently hosted a Grandparent-style K.I.S.S. event, giving children the chance to show their grandparents all the fun and learning that happens at Encompass each day!

From art activities and outdoor play to cooking projects and even a field trip, our grandparents got to join in on the fun and make some special memories along the way.

IMPORTANT BIG EVENT UPDATE
After careful consideration of the forecasted weather, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 37th Annual Encompass Big Event for Kids scheduled for Saturday, September 19, at Heritage Hill.

The safety and experience of the children, families, exhibitors, volunteers and staff who make this event possible are incredibly important to us. Given the forecasted conditions and the outdoor nature of the Big Event, we believe cancellation is the best decision for everyone involved.

We know how many families look forward to this day each year, and we share in your disappointment. 💙

We are incredibly grateful to our presenting sponsor, Schreiber, and to all of our generous sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and community partners who have put so much into making this event possible.
While we won't be together at Heritage Hill this weekend, proceeds from the Big Event will continue to benefit Encompass programs and services for children and families throughout our community. 💛

There are a lot of ways to measure success in early childhood education. Sometimes, one of the best is simply hearing a parent say, “My child is happy here.” 💙

At Encompass, learning goes far beyond ABCs and 123s. Our educators help children build confidence, friendships, independence and the social-emotional skills they'll carry with them long after they leave our classrooms.
