Today our Duration classrooms had an amazing outdoor learning adventure with oneida conservation
Land, Environmental, Agriculture and Food as Medicine Division 🌲🦉

The students took a walk through the woods where they learned about the different birds they could hear and see, discovered what poison ivy looks like, and even spotted some spiders along the trail. They also got to smell a plant root that smelled just like root beer 🍂🥤

Along the way, they learned about the animals that live in our woods and had the chance to touch and feel bear and coyote. Down by the water, they explored what kinds of creatures can be found near ponds and streams, including beetles, frogs, and tadpoles 🐸🪲

The kids were very excited to watch a drone fly overhead, and to end the day, each student got to help plant a tree together 🌱

Such a fun day full of hands-on learning, exploration, and nature!

🚧 Norbert Hill Construction Update 🚧

Starting Monday, May 4th, construction will begin on the Norbert Hill parking lot and continue through the end of the school year.

📍 Drop-off & pick-up changes:

* All students will be dropped off and picked up at the main entrance (Door 1)(yellow marked spot on map)
* If your child will be late or picked up early please call ahead
* Please park in the middle lot and walk your child inside to sign in/out
* Staff will be available in the lobby to assist
* Buses will also use the main entrance via the center parking lot
