Early Head Start (EHS)
Provides early, continuous, and comprehensive child development and family support services to pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and their families. Our Goals
• To enhance child development among EHS children ages birth to three.
• Identify and improve family outcomes by promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
• Reduce parenting stress and promote parental self-sufficiency.
• Enhance the lifestyle of expectant mothers by providing education and resources throughout their pregnancy and postnatal. Our Program
Home Visitation: Child development program for families with children from birth up to the age of 3 years old. Also, provides services to pregnant women and expectant families. Once a week, a home visitor will come to your home. Together, we will plan activities, set family goals, and provide resources. All family members are welcome to take part in the visit. Center-based: Classroom option that provides children ages 6 weeks up to the age of 3 years old with classroom experiences planned by qualified staff to promote developmental growth in all areas. Children in the center-based program attend class Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Transportation must be provided by the family to and from the center. Space is very limited and serves children and families involved with child welfare services or have other intensive family needs. Group Socializations: Held two times per month for EHS families.
