On May 18, we celebrate 61 years of Head Start and the more than 40 million children and families it has served.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, Head Start reminds us what it means to invest in opportunity, strengthen communities, and support the next generation. It remains one of our country’s most enduring commitments to children and families.
