Reading by the Weeks

I’m so excited to be nearing the end of one journey an getting ready to begin another journey. I am so grateful to be able to be on this journey and to be able to help so many kids.

I’m so excited to my new space for It is a huge room. The possibilities are endless. I have a cozy fireplace in the room for the long Wisconsin winters. (In 10 days we have already had snow, ice and lost electricity) I can’t wait to show you my idea for above the fireplace. I hope to be seeing in person clients in May. If you are in Green Bay or know anyone in Green Bay who needs dyslexia tutoring I will have a few in person openings.

I absolutely love watching students draw pictures for their morphology cards. Some of my students are so incredible creative when they draw their pictures. Drawing pictures also is a relaxing time for many of my students and also a time when they get to use their strengths.

Our contraction lesson got extra help from magic e and the emotional support chicks. They are both a great mood booster when contractions get a bit challenging.

So sad and hard packing up my tutoring supplies, but I’m so excited for my new space in Green Bay. I can’t wait to show you my new space. We will be in Green Bay next week. Magic e is still hanging out here for one of my students.

This is an older student who continues to struggle with the word does. I incorporated morphology and we discussed the ending es. The pronunciation of the es is different depending on the word, but the morphology is the same.

My student loves magic e. He sits with this student during most lessons. Today magic e helped by pointing to the words as the student read the book. I love these decodable readers from
